Meet Bear
Today, my 15 year old ESA, Bear got hit by a car.
We took him in to the vet as soon as it happened, costed $700+ For X-rays and enough meds to keep him comfortable till Monday, (3-3-2021.) There are no breaks in his spine, but he needs a CT Scan to see what kind of surgery he needs, for he still has no movement in his rear end. The CT will cost an estimated $3,000, which we don't have...
Please, help me help him...
I have had him since he was a puppy. He has 3 other doggy family members, (all rescues,) and has traveled all over the US with me. This dog means so much, to so many people! He's super friendly, super outgoing, and everyone who meets him loves him.
Dont let his age fool you, it is not his time! He loves his squeaky tennis balls, his stuffed animals, playing with his fur family, neighbor kids, loves hikes, beach trips, etc. He is still very full of life, and I would be grateful to be able to continue to help him push past this the same way he has helped so me, and so many others. If you are having a bad day, he can tell, and will cuddle up to you and do little corky things until you feel better.
The vets are optimistic about him being fixable, but it's not feesable for us.
