My name is Paul Anderson, and I served as an officer in the United States Army until I was medically discharged after severe injuries during military training.
Serving my country was one of the greatest honors of my life. Unfortunately, those injuries have continued to affect my health long after leaving the military.
After my service, I worked hard to rebuild my life. I earned my MBA and later worked for both Amazon and Intel, trying to build a stable future. However, due to the lasting impact of my injuries, I was eventually laid off when my physical limitations made it impossible to keep up with the demands of the job.
Today I live with chronic pain and disability, and while I continue to fight to rebuild my life, finances have become extremely difficult.
Despite everything, something beautiful is happening in my life.
I am getting married.
It means the world to me to stand at the altar wearing my Army officer uniform, honoring the service that shaped my life and the sacrifices that came with it.
Unfortunately, I no longer own a complete dress uniform and replacing it costs nearly $1,000, which I simply cannot afford right now.
