Yay finally we are matched for adoption with a 13yo girl from the Philippines.
We hosted her 2 years ago and the other families in our hosting group have all traveled and brought their kiddos home. Fortunate the main thing we need to raise money for is travel expenses. After 10yrs of trying to adopt we weren’t sure it was going to happen.
Our 12yo Viola is prepared as possible to have a sibling. For a while will probably feel like we have 2 only children in the house.
For anonymity I’ll nickname our Pinoy girl Cassie. She has been in 4 different foster homes in PH.
After we travel hopefully around New years 2027. We will need to continue play therapy and potentially equine therapy in Montana.
Don is a Montessori teacher and doesn’t have income over the summer, so some savings got spent. And he had a required training that resulted in a long drive 2 and from TX and some fun along the way.
Our 12yo, Viola was taking pictures of stuffies in good condition and books to sell to help pitch in for the sibling that she asked me for years about when she was younger.
