Welcome to Nelise's Fight!
On August 1st, after months of unexplained illness and many Dr. and ER visits later we were devastated with words that no parent or human ever wants to hear, that our youngest child, Nelise has leukemia.
Nelise is a vibrant and outgoing and sometimes stubborn 3 year old that truly lights up the world for everyone around her. She is our youngest with two older siblings ( just don't say she is the baby because she will be sure to correct you that she is a BIG girl).
We are blessed to have her getting the best possible care from Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City during this time. Do to our rural location Nelise is required to stay in Salt Lake at least for the first month of treatment and beyond that is unknown at this time. We are still working on logistics of her care while in SLC and taking care of her siblings at home as they try to navigate this while starting back to school. The support we have received from friends and family has been incredible and we would not be able to begin to try and navigate this without them
As you can imagine this has created significant emotional and financial strain on our entire family and we are grateful to all that are able to help support us during this time. We are very thankful for those that can provide financial support during this time but whether you are able to donate or not keeping Nelise and our entire family in your prayers is what we would ask for most during this time.
