Most of you are aware I was laid off last October due to company closure. While it has been an extremely tough market I am still actively doing anything I can to continue to improve my marketability.
I have taken a large number of free courses and webinars but I think it’s time to step up my game.
I am looking to subscribe to a couple of the online education platforms so that I can actually earn the certifications, versus audit, to add to my resume and further my skill sets to be competitive.
Being on unemployment, as many know, doesn’t pay all the necessities. I am also signed up with Amazon Flex, Instacart and Roadie. I recently sent in for approval on Uber and Lyft but with a cracked windshield and old tires I was told I won’t pass inspection at this time.
I am not known for being good at asking for help and it’s time I try to lean on those around me for a push. I was originally looking to get a couple of months of subscription service worth to get started, but a friend pointed out it would be more cost effective to ask for a full year’s worth to take advantage of the discounted pricing that comes with the year membership. I am looking forward to taking even more classes, earning the certification and hopefully it will lead to something awesome.
