It all started in July 2021 Brent got Covid. He declined really fast and was put on a ventilator. From there he had a week of stableness but at the end of July he coded and had CPR for 4 minutes. He started to recover and though he had some ups and downs he still continued to get better. He got a tracheotomy and was moved to a long term care after a month he moved to a rehab center. While there he got a staph infection in his blood and turned yellow. His liver took a hit. He was slowly getting better then got influenza A in March and his liver never really recovered. He had to get fluid drained about every 3 days. At the middle of May he had an appointment and was told he needed a new liver. He had two weeks to get all the tests done to get on the list. He got them all done and thankfully his care coordinator pled his case. He got on the list as the first post Covid patient to be approved for at least the region we are in. His insurance approved to the procedure within hours of asking for approval which is not heard of. His health declined super fast and was admitted into the hospital a few days before he got a new liver. Now he is on the long road to recovery.
