Aloha!

It has been over a month since the wildfires devastated the island of Maui and there is still a great need for medical care and support. Over 1/3 of the island cannot safely use tap water. People are developing painful, burning rashes. There are folks struggling with respiratory issues, digestive issues, stress and anxiety, sleep issues, and more. The repercussions of this disaster will have impacts for months and years.

The community is coming together in beautiful ways. While the government has been slow to respond, there are health practitioners, herbalists, and doulas in Maui who are devoting themselves to providing this care. For example, there was a pop-up clinic with over 100 practitioners - all Maui residents - who gave medical support and over 9,000 people showed up in 3 days.

While we aren't hearing about Maui as much in the news, now is still a crucial time to give aid! We've been working with wonderful herbalists to help provide much needed medical care.

With your donation, 100% of funds will go directly to local Maui residents who are health practitioners and doing the work. No overhead fees, no admin. All funds directly to support the people.

For example, like MammaTi from Kauai is working hard daily to make medicine to share with the local community and training others on how to do this too.  She’s trained in Hawaiian healing arts and la’au lapa’au (Hawaiian plant medicine) as well as extensive study and teaching in western herbalism. She just returned from a trip there to help and she has been implored to return and bring more of her medicine and healing gifts to folks suffering from the devastating Lahaina fires.  She is a trauma informed trained Ethno-Botanist, studying under 20 teachers, and teaching and practicing herbalism for 14 years, so she is extremely qualified to provide this much needed assistance to fire victims in the aftermath of this horrid event.

Even $5 or $10 can go a long way in supporting the people. We thank you for your generosity, if you can compassionately share financial support today!
