This holiday season, our family is facing an unexpected challenge, and it’s hard for me to ask for help. Just before Christmas, our truck was involved in an accident when we accidentally hit an elk on the road. While we’re grateful no one was hurt, the damage to the truck has left us in a tough spot. We rely on our vehicle for daily life, from getting to doctor appointments to driving our daughter to the airport.
Unfortunately, our insurance won’t cover the cost of a rental car, and with only one working vehicle between us, it’s become increasingly difficult to manage everything we need to do. The truck also needs significant repairs to make it safe and functional again, but we simply don’t have the funds to fix it. Our one working vehicle isn’t in the best condition either, which makes every trip feel uncertain.
I’ve always hated asking for help, but after everything that’s happened, I’ve realized that sometimes bad things really do come in threes. First, it was the truck accident, then a series of unexpected bills, and now, we’re stuck trying to figure out how to keep our family on the move.
We’re reaching out because we simply need help to get through this difficult time. Whether it’s for the cost of a rental car to ensure we can get to appointments or to fix our truck so we can continue to work and take care of our family, every bit of support will make a difference. We know times are tough for everyone, but if you’re able to lend a hand, it would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are grateful for any assistance, and we wish you a safe and happy holiday season
