I'm a medical professional who has served our diverse communities for the past 12 years. Daily I have helped others during their difficult times. On May 21, I was assaulted by an assailant who not only physically assaulted me but also robbed me of my phone, money, and peace of mind. I have suffered injuries, short term memory loss, and temporary set backs. My access to my personal and banking information has been was cut off, as my bank account was compromised twice and currently restricted due to police investigation. I am reaching out to you for your help while I get back on my feet during this most difficult time. I was on a leave of absence from work due to the immense stress from not only this event but also family-related issues. I lost my family at an early age and have been on my own since age 16. My father was murdered in front of me when I was 10 and my mother passed when I was 16. I have no family resources to rely on. Now I lost my employment and haven't received a paycheck since May 19. My rent is almost 2 months past due and I'm on the verge of homelessness. Your contribution, any contribution, will help tremendously with paying daily expenses, rent, mounting medical bills and food. I have been seeking professional help and continue to make progress with visits to both medical and mental health. I am unable to sleep more than 2 solid hours before waking up in panic stricken nightmares. There are moments I don't feel safe when commuting. I have daily mental breakdowns where I am unable to control my emotions. I never in my life thought I would be in this condition, but here I am. I'm pushing through, day by day.
