Help Bring Sabria Home Safely
My name is Asia Taliaferro, and I am a mother searching for my daughter, Sabria Diarra Amari Taliaferro.
In August 2024, Sabria traveled from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles, California after communicating online with an individual regarding a potential modeling and acting opportunity. Shortly after arriving in California, communication with our family became limited and then stopped completely.
As time passed, signs began to emerge that something was wrong.
In January 2025, Sabria posted a photo on social media on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles.
In March 2025, she posted photos from inside a strip club in California.
When contact resumed months later, calls were always on speaker or FaceTime, and the same adult male—known to me as Rodney Ross—was always present. On several occasions, Sabria’s speech and behavior appeared impaired.
Before relocating, Sabria operated a Christian-based business called “Walking in My Purpose.” After relocating to California, she began operating a business called “Bad Kitty.”
During one text conversation, Sabria indicated, “Does trauma bonding with my trafficker make me stupid?”
She later told me that the man she was with was manipulative and abusive, that he had taken her paycheck, school refund, and tax refund, and that she wanted to get away from him. She said she planned to go to the police to seek a restraining order.
One night, she called me very late. During that call, I overheard her arguing with him, demanding her money back, calling him evil, and asking why he kept doing this to her. I heard him say that he threw her money, belongings, and phone out of the car.
Before the call disconnected, Sabria told me she called so I could hear the conversation in case something happened to her.
After that call, I tried repeatedly to reach her with no success.
Before I lost contact completely, I received a call from her phone that rang once and stopped. She then texted that it was an accident. Shortly after, she sent me a message asking me to pray for her safety. I prayed for her and responded. I have not heard from her since.
In addition to losing contact, the vehicle registered in Sabria’s name has now disappeared, and its current location is unknown.
Since then, I have contacted multiple agencies, including local police departments, the National Human Trafficking Hotline, and the FBI. Because Sabria is an adult, I have been told that intervention is limited. To date, I have not received confirmation that a welfare check has been conducted or that her safety has been verified.
I am turning to the public because I cannot give up on my child.
Why This Fundraiser Matters
All funds raised will be used solely and directly to:
- Hire a licensed private investigator
- Locate Sabria
- Verify her safety and well-being
- Assist in bringing her home safely
Every dollar will be used in efforts to find my daughter and bring her home.
This fundraiser is about a mother trying to locate her child when existing systems have not been able to act. If you are able to help by donating, sharing, or praying, it would mean more than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read Sabria’s story and for standing with our family.
With gratitude,
Asia Taliaferro
