Moving from South Bend, IN to the Bay area of California in 2014 was opening up a new chapter in my life. What I didn't realize, was that it was going to be chapter 11. With 30 plus years experience in telecommunications I was able to land a good job. Which lasted 8 months. The next thing you know I was homeless. Eighteen months later I made the choice to come back to Indiana with my tail between my legs. What I brought back with me was an attitude of advocacy for the homeless.
I'm still not back in the saddle yet. The struggle does continue. www.gotmygig.com is going to ride the wave of new Gigabit Internet Customers that will migrate to the higher speeds as various ISP's build out their fiber optic network. This build out will be work in progress for at least the next five years. The Got my gig platform offers rewards to new customers and their referrals, Contests and other exciting ways to engage with customers. Twenty Percent of the bounty that I receive will automatically go to Michiana 5 for the Homeless. Pulling new customers from every State in the Union will provide some much needed funding for this Non-profit.
