My brother, Nick, and his family experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed their home and nearly all of their belongings. In a matter of moments, they lost the place where they built memories, found comfort, and called home.
While we are incredibly grateful that Nick and his family made it out safely, they are now facing the overwhelming challenge of rebuilding their lives from the ground up. From securing temporary housing to replacing clothing, furniture, household necessities, and other essential items, the road ahead will be long and difficult.
Anyone who knows Nick knows his character, resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping others. As a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, he dedicated part of his life to serving our country with honor, courage, and selflessness. Those same values continue to define who he is today. Nick has always been the first person to step up when someone needed help, never asking for anything in return.
