Friends, it's time to GO RED!
Hi, I am Audrey Huttie and I am excited to partner with the American Heart Association (AHA) Go Red and Miss America's Scholarship Foundation to help raise funds to support raising awareness to having a healthy heart.
In 2021, I was diagnosed with Supra-ventricular Tachycardia (SVT) after experiencing a rapid heart rate while leisurely enjoying one of my favorite tv shows, "Friends". This condition is when an electric signal hits a nerve in your heart and continues to circulate at a rapid pace. After 3 years of utilizing various strategies to overcome these episodes, I decided to have a Cardiac Ablation to cauterize the nerve. I am happy to say that I am 1 year post-surgery and I am doing amazingly. My experience along with those of families members around me, has made the AHA an organization literally dear to my heart.
As I begin my journey to be the next Miss Delaware's Teen, I hope to educate young women about the risk of heart disease and how they can take charge of their own health. This mission is more than a project, it's about bringing awareness and remembering those who have gone before us. This work means resilience. It means women supporting women so that we don't just survive, we thrive. Together we can change the future of heart health one beat at a time.
I ask that you help support the American Heart Association Go Red initiative and the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation. All contributions can make a difference.
So are you ready to GO RED?
Sincerely Yours,
Audrey M. Huttie
