I'm not one to ask for help, but my beloved Aunt Amy is in dire need. After years of egregious pain, spontaneous bone fractures, and multiple blood transfusions, she was finally diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in February of 2024. It was a daunting diagnosis, but a spectacular relief to finally have an answer as to what was ailing her.
She began chemotherapy almost immediately, and then had a stem cell transplant in July of 2024 which required total eradication of her immune system. Because of that, she had to remain in the hospital for a month so she could be isolated, and avoid what could have been a life threatening infection.
As of last month, she is considered to be in remission, but she still requires monthly chemotherapy, and injections to help with her bone density. Although the pain has somewhat decreased, it's still debilitating because of the lesions on her spine.
Due to her ongoing treatments, pain, and the side effects of chemotherapy, she remains unable to work. She's been out of work since March of 2024, and has been denied social security, and disability thus far. As you can imagine, the bills are piling up. Amy is an amazing woman with the biggest heart, a smile worth 1,000 words, and the warmest hugs. Despite all that she's going through, she'd do anything to help anyone in need. As a nurse, she's spent the majority of her adult life caring for others. She's all love. Please help me return the favor, and donate whatever you can to help Amy. There's no-one more deserving.
