I’ve always believed that every creature deserves care and a place to call home. At the Forest Lake campground, nestled in the heart of Advance, North Carolina, I’ve found a community of feral cats that need just that. These cats have become an unexpected part of my life, showing up like shy guests who somehow belong. There’s something heartwarming about seeing them play and explore, but they also face constant challenges from the elements and lack of reliable food. I’m reaching out to share this journey and seek support to provide food, shelter, and medical care for these resilient little souls who have claimed such a special place in my heart. Witnessing their transformation from wary wanderers to playful, trusting beings has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Yet, ensuring they have a safe haven and the essentials they need is a task I can’t handle alone.
