Hi, everyone. I'm starting this fundraiser to help out my friend, Avon, who is recently unemployed after spending months dealing with a hostile work environment. This affected her ability to work her scheduled shifts, resulting in a loss of income and serious impacts on her mental health.
Unfortunately, she doesn't feel that HR has taken her concerns seriously or offered solutions that she found helpful. Rather than continue fighting, she has chosen to leave. I'm hoping we can help her raise funds for a couple months of expenses while she recovers from burnout and looks for a new position. (I will be distributing funds directly to her as they come in.)
For over two years, Avon has been working in the mental health field helping people with severe mental illness at a crisis recovery center. Clients and colleagues alike have praised her compassion, insight, and dedication. She has given so much to support and care for other people - let's step up and return the favor!
