To Family, friends, loved ones and to those who can understand, I come as humbly as I can. My name is James Genous and m currently fighting for my freedom that was unjustly taken from me. As a man it troubles me to ask for help but as a Wiseman, A Father, and a Pilar in my family I have no choice but to ask for help. I'm a native from Milwaukee WI and for me this is home. I'm currently enrolled in M.A.T.C. for Mechanical Design Technology and my four year plan is to be a Mechanical Engineer. I recently finished my first semester wit a 3.2 GPA and I'm preparing for number two is fall. Proud father of 6, 3 of them are just about grown and then 3 still young. One highschool graduate and two more following right behind. 
Growing up on the East Side of Milwaukee prepared me for life for the good and bad. The diversity led me to see many people and many races and to learn that love can come from anywhere. Loyalty, Honor, and Respect was taught to me young and something I hold dearly to this day. 
Honestly I wasn't a perfect or Hallmark kid growing up but I learned through life's lessons which path I wanted to be in and it wasn't the streets. As my life has formed over the years I've always had great role models and that's My Dad and My Mom. They changed their lives for their kids, they beat oppression and gave their all for us. Even when times got hard again they led by example of showing that all is not lost as long as you have hope and the will power to want better. 
Friday June 13th not only turned MY life upside down but the lives of my family and friends. The way the city is becoming is so heart breaking and seriously an issue. To have your things taken and flaunted in front of you is dibilitating. I had 3 young men steal from me, lie on me and turn life upside down for me, simply because they lacked respect of others things and wanted to joyride. Then the media placed me as the villain of this situation. I just don't get it and I know so many of you don't either. How is this being aloud, and as parents what are we doing?! I have 2 sons and a daughter the ages of these individuals  and if I had to follow them around the city for them to act right I would. It may not be realistic but I'm dedicated just like I know so many of you are to making our city better for our futures and the futures of our children. 
So today I'm coming for y'all help because now I need to fight the courts for my life and the life of my family. I currently have a $35,000 bail and I have been blessed to reach $10,000 to date from family and friends. My goal is to reach another $20,000 for bail and court services, so that I can go back home, back to my 9-5 and back to building and raising my family. We (My family and myself) really appreciate the prayers band great support thus far. BUT NOW, I need that push to continue progressing and growing into the Man, Father, Son, Husband, Brother and role model I was meant to be. Thank you for taking the time to hear me and Feel me.
