Hello friends and family,
Thank you for being so generous as to visit our postpartum care fundraising page. We have almost everything that we need for Baby Hamm (EDD: 12/21/23 or 1/4/24 π€·π»βοΈ) in a material sense. But, what could be exceedingly helpful is postpartum care and help with postpartum care and “maternity leave”. I will be home with Loui and the new baby by myself. We plan to hire a postpartum doula for the first 2 weeks, and we hope to have support from our friends and family throughout the first weeks of life. But we know we live pretty far away, and sometimes giving financially is easier for folks. If you can’t give time, but want to help us welcome baby, this is our fundraising page.
Let me know you’d like to schedule a visit. While you are here, contribute some postpartum care acts of love such as:
- Spend some quality time with Loui and play games with him,
- Let the dog out to go potty, but cats stay outside
- feed the dog and cats
- take out the trash,
- do dishes,
- bring disposable plates and plasticware,
- clean- run the vacuum, mop the kitchen, wipe down the countertops, tidy up the bathroom, run the laundry, fold clothes, etc.
- cook or bring a meal to share (must be gluten-free so no wheat, barley, rye, etc. RICE and OATS are okay)
- prepackaged or easy-to-grab snacks for a tired and newly lactating momma including granola bars, nuts, etc.
- watch the baby while momma bathes or naps
- Take a walk with mom and baby
- Run an errand
- Pretty much any usual daily task that is not something a recovering momma should be doing
