There are many ever-increasing problems in our world that my generation must handle. I see it as my duty and purpose to take part in the process and have made many moves towards change.
My name is Joseph Anderson, a Georgia-Born, Florida-raised, and Georgia-ripened sharp young African-American with dreams to improve the livelihood of all beings on Earth. I recently received the great honor and privilege of being selected to be a representative of the United States of America at the prestigious One Young World youth leadership summit, based on my ambition to make real change. Personally, there is nothing more dissatisfying than to watch the world end from things that we have a high probability of making better. Being an advocate for community health and well-being, world peace, and sustainability, I believe that separation and competition have destroyed us, and suggest that we compromise to see the bigger and more ecological picture and problem.
One Young World (OYW) has not only encouraged me to dream but work for my dreams and form them into realities. OYW is a UK-based not-for-profit organization that gathers young leaders from around the world to develop solutions to the globe’s most pressing issues. The cost to attend is $7,000.00 in United States Dollars. The money must be raised and documented on such websites as Go Fund Me, Kickstarter, and Cash App.
The tickets will include:
- Full access to the Summit
- Full catering during the Summit
- Accommodation (shared or private)
- Ground transport
- Passport
- Traveling Expenses
As a 2020 graduate of the Corona Pandemic, it has been very challenging to collect money while having to stay inside. So, I am humbly asking for the support of others. Much like we invest in athletes and children of the arts, I believe it is also essential to invest in young leaders with the greater good of the world in mind.
Being able to attend this conference and plan to improve our planet would mean the world to me, literally. One Young World will be an enormous step in my journey and will be greatly valued. Thank you for anything you donate because every penny helps me get closer to Munich, Germany, in August, 2021
