I've reached a point where I need to ask for help. In Mount Pleasant, my life has taken some difficult turns, leading me to experience homelessness and hardship. My truck, once a source of strength, is now barely functioning with no brakes, a cracked windshield, and unsettling noises. It used to help me earn a living from my firewood business, but now its broken frame leaves me unable to work. As I face being pushed out of my current situation, I find myself lost and unsure of what to do next.
My son is growing up fast, and it's heartbreaking to miss so much because I'm in such an unstable place. I dream of having a home that feels secure, a place no one can take from me, where I can leave behind fear and hurt. The path here has left me feeling ashamed, but I'm ready to rebuild. Reuniting with my family feels like the way forward, and though admitting I need support is difficult, I hope to find a way to move towards safety and love. I’ve been knocked to my knees. I’ll do most anything to come to safety.
