Hey guys - Sunny needs a little love. And as we all know, love is... expensive.
This is hard to write not only because Sunny girl is laying next to us whimpering, but because it's hard as hell (for me) to ask friends, family, and strangers for a hand. However, T and I are in a bit over our heads, and we could use a hand. Er, a paw, specifically.
As some of you may know, Sunny has been limping around the past few weeks from what we originally thought was just an ACL tear, something that is fairly common and easily repaired. However, on the day of her surgery (October 4), a few hours into her operation, we received a message from the vet explaining that they could not complete the procedure because they found a tumor in the joint.
As of right now we are waiting for the results of the biopsy from that tumor, which will tell us what kind of treatment she will need in the long-term, and whether or not this is something that has spread elsewhere.
At this point the only thing that we know is that she will need her back leg amputated.
Sunny does NOT have insurance (she's reckless, we know) and her medical bills are becoming difficult to keep up with.
