I'm Nate, also known as Ursus, and I'm facing a critical situation that I need your help to overcome. Living with End Stage Renal Disease, I rely on in-home dialysis four times a week to stay alive. I moved to San Francisco for a fresh start and the promise of a supportive relationship. Unfortunately, my partner turned out to be an alcoholic narcissist, leading to a painful and destructive breakup. Now, with my name not on any leases, I'm at risk of becoming homeless. My ex has given me until the end of July to move out, and my limited SSDI check isn't enough to secure housing suitable for my medical needs.

I’ve dedicated years to special education, but now I find myself in a dire position, needing to raise a good chunk of money to secure housing and continue my treatments independently. Without immediate funds, I'll be forced to perform dialysis at a friend's place, paying for storage for my belongings. This upheaval threatens not just my stability but my health. With a secure place, I could qualify for assistance to maintain long-term stability. Your support can provide the crucial head start I need, helping me reclaim my independence and prevent homelessness. Thank you for taking the time to consider my situation. You will truly be saving my life.

Greetings, friends and family,

I couldn't have done it without you. While I am still looking for a place of my own, you getting me to nearly 50% of my goal helped fund the storage unit and movers that I had to enlist in order to get this initial move-out done. I am currently living with a friend in the city while I search for subsidized housing.

Thank you. Thank you for your generosity in a time where most folks' pocketbooks are tight. Your continued donations will help replace essential items lost in the move, as well as help enlist movers when I finally settle.

Thank you.

Wow...45% of my goal is astounding. I never thought I'd reach this number, and you all proved me very, very wrong. I appreciate every donation, share, and bits of help that you all have given me; I am deeply thankful for each and every one of you. As I go into the final week before I move, temporarily to a friends place, this will certainly help my search for my own place to call home.

Thank you so much for your continuing support.

I am speechless... You all have brought me to over a quarter of my goal and I can't thank each and every one of you enough. I am already so grateful for your generosity and your assistance with spreading the word. The goal amount seems oh so much closer to actuality, thank you for your continuing support!

Well, we are starting Independence Day weekend having nearly reached 25% of our total goal...25% of 20,000. A quarter of the way there. I'm speechless! Thank you all for continuing to donate and share this out to your social circles. It truly has warmed my heart seeing all of your generosity.
I truly believe we can reach 20,000 by the end of the month - keep on sharing <3

Much love,

Holy shit, y'all have been hitting the donation box with a quickness! Only two days into July and we are nearly at the $3,000 mark! Let's keep doing what we're doing - if you think you can donate more, please do so, and if not, please share the link to this fundraiser out to your friends, family, coworkers, book club, band practice, theater rehearsal...anywhere that anyone creative, passionate, and brave might take interest.

Let's make what seemed to be a stretch goal into a comfortable reality! $3,000/$20,000 raised. Let's double this number by the end of Independence Day weekend!

Thank you all for your time, love, care, and generosity.
