I'm 74 years old and, unexpectedly, my car has become my temporary home here in Toledo. A few days ago, I ran out of gas and my pockets are empty, save for some loose change. With potential job opportunities on the horizon, I need just a little help to refuel and reach them. But right now, a warm shower and a meal would mean the world to me, providing comfort and hope.
Until my next bit of income comes on the 17th, I’m trying to hold on and make it through each day. It's been three days since I last ate, and while asking for help doesn’t come easy, I’m reaching out for the first time, hoping for a bit of kindness to bridge this challenging time. Thank you for taking a moment to read my story.
