"Trauma creates change you don’t choose. Healing is about creating change you do choose.” – Michelle Rosenthall

Hello there! We are two LGBTQ+ young adults seeking help to get out of our dysfunctional and abusive home lives and relocate to an area with greater access to resources that will allow us to heal from our traumas and work towards creating a stable foundation for the rest of our lives. We want to break the cycles of abuse we have been born and raised into, we just need a little help to do so.

Cy and Noah are childhood friends who both have suffered at the hands of our abusive parents, the people they allowed into our lives, and the countless obstacles their actions have forced us to have to overcome. We are seeking now to move to the New Orleans, Louisiana area or nearby. This area allows us to be close enough to people we currently care about while also having access to mental health resources and other assistance and opportunities we wouldn't have otherwise, as well as being in a place much safer for LGBTQ+ people than where we currently are.

Noah (he/she) is 23 years old, bigender, bisexual, and has struggled for years to obtain safe housing. Currently he lives in a very conservative, rural Louisiana town with family members he is not safe with. The general severe mental abuse he is put through is compounded by an inability to receive proper mental health treatment due to ableism by both doctors in the area as well as family members, leaving him to suffer with psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations, as well as a plethora of other disruptive symptoms related to his mental illnesses that greatly affect his quality of life. Yet, he is unable to be monitored and treated as needed due to it posing a genuine safety risk to even mention these happenings to the people around him. Financial strain, no car, isolation from others in the area, and general lack of resources in his area leaves him unable to even try and get treatment behind the backs of his family.

Cy (any pronouns) is a 24 year old non-binary person who has been struggling for stable housing for most of their life. Currently, they reside in south Mississippi in a house with their alcoholic mother and her vindictive husband. It seems that one accident after another has happened over the last few years, and between that, trying to get their health on track, and trying to get any kind of financial stability and control in their life, there's not been much room to be able to get free of their current predicament. While they have been in therapy to heal their trauma, it has started to stagnate due to not being able to get to a better living environment. A simple 'no' could, quite literally, result in them being out on their ass with nowhere to go.

The money from this fundraiser will go to easing costs relating to the move such as covering deposits, first month's rent, application fees, and other costs associated with moving that cannot be covered by us without staying much longer in our dangerous situations or otherwise risking ourselves in another area.

We deeply appreciate any and all donations given, signal boosts, and all other support because it all helps immensely. To thank everyone, we have prepared a raffle that we will run. The items selected for the raffle are tokens of our appreciation that are relatively cheap & easy to ship with materials we already have on hand, and are very unlikely to cause any hardship to send out to raffle winners. NO DONATIONS WILL BE PUT TOWARDS THIS.

Questions can be directed to Cy on any social platform under @bottlecaprabbitgames or @cylentlycrafting or to the email bottlecaprabbitgames@gmail.com, as well as to Noah on instagram at @ss0ulmatee.
