Support the Elephants at Karen Elephant Retreat via Trunks Up.
Karen Elephant Retreat is a tour near Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand for an unforgettable experience with elephants. The project is run by a Karen family who have lived and worked with elephants for two generations. It is home to a small herd of elephants, retired from elephant riding, who are now enjoying being able to interact together, and are healthier and more relaxed. The family are happy to see their elephants freed from riding, with time to forage, socialize, and play in natural surroundings.
The Covid-19 coronavirus has caused severe challenges around the world and has placed extreme limitations on travel. As a result, Karen Elephant Retreat has been temporarily closed. We are doing the best that we can to properly care for the elephants at our project, but need your support. We understand that this is a difficult time for many people around the world and offer our heartfelt sympathy.
By supporting Karen Elephant Retreat you are supporting ethical elephant tourism in Asia and helping to make projects like this sustainable so that they can continue to provide a better life for their elephants.
