I've been crying on and off for several days now.
This is Anu, my sister's cat that she found on the street while walking home from the grocery store a few months back.
He's still a kitten with a heart of gold, a fiery personality, and a cuddle who loves climbing on folks.
He had a UTI about several months ago that was checked out by vets. It cleared.
This past weekend (3/5/23), he wasn't able to urinate again and has been in so much pain. She was able to book an appointment, but it was for today. She went to the local vet, who was unable to diagnose the matter and referred her to emergency care.
Anyone who has an animal understands the severity when one is unable to book appointments and offer emergency care due to vets being full.
The out-of-pocket cost is $1500 for him to be there overnight and for further tests. We've already had the emergency surgery on 3/7/23. He was improving. However, last night on 3/9/23, he wasn't improving.
My sister sent me video this morning, which broke my heart. I'm currently in New York City and they are in Atlanta.
It would help immensely if you all can donate.
I've donated some funds towards the visit, and it is my hope that Anu will be okay.
My sis is an emotional wreck and doesn't want to lose her kitty. As am I. He is her World.
