Hi there Neighbors! My name is Chris Sveda and I have spent my whole life in Sharpsville PA.
Throughout the years many of you have enjoyed the fireworks over the city of Sharpsville, PA done by local professional, Chris Sveda. Last year, 2022, was our first year advertising as "Sharpsville Thunder In The Sky" The crowds who came out to see the show were absolutely amazing and we could not have been more thankful to know that all of the hard work was thoroughly enjoyed.
We are excited to be planning them again for July 2nd, 2023 with a rain date of July 3rd. Launch time 10:00pm. This show takes months of planning, preparation, and setting up. Along with all of that, also comes a rising cost to do the show.
We are asking the members of the community to donate to the cost of the show with the hope to make this an event that can be enjoyed year after year. After the cost of materials and fireworks all donations with a guaranteed contribution will go to Mercer County Veterans Affairs.
Businesses that donate will be featured in the Sharon Herald.
We are working with the Sharpsville VFW Post #6404 and to hopefully make this an event that benefits local veterans as a "Thank You" for all they have done for us, although they deserve so much more. We are looking forward to being able to connect this event to our community and make it something beneficial for all.
