Raenon Justice is a mother of 6 children, 1 biological son and 5 adopted children all with special needs. She has spent her entire adult life giving of herself to care for her family and, now, she has been diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma. Four of the five adopted children still live at home and Raenon and her husband, Jim, are no longer receiving a monthly stipend for their care. Two of her children have Down's Syndrome, two of her children have ongoing symptoms due to their birth mother's drug use, and one was born with a severe brain injury and seizure disorder due to domestic abuse while in utero. His life expectancy was only 5 months but this past December, he turned 19 because of her love, her caring, and for her determination to help him thrive.
In recent weeks, she has been diagnosed with a rare form of Malignant Nerve Sheath Cancer which is a type of Sarcoma. The cost of care is truly unbelievable. It has cost over 6,000 dollars out of pocket to just get to the diagnosis. She has just arrived at the truly expensive part of this wretched disease. Her family survives on her husband's teaching salary, his part-time work as an adjunct lecturer at a nearby college, and through private tutoring. Now that Jim will have to miss school on occasion to go to the important appointments and surgery with her, his pay may be affected. Their income is limited and this is stretching their budget to the absolute limit.
