It has been one week since our community lost Robert Earl Curlis, Jr., and the reality of this sudden, unexpected loss is still difficult to comprehend for his family and friends but even more so for his beautiful children.
On June 3, 2026, Robert Jr. passed away and went home to be with the Lord after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage. While we find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering, the family he leaves behind is now facing a future forever changed by his absence.
Robert was more than a name. He was a father, son, brother, husband and friend. Most importantly, he was the father of four young children, with a fifth child on the way.
As his loved ones struggle to navigate the overwhelming grief of losing him so suddenly, they are also facing the financial burden of funeral and burial expenses, along with the daunting task of moving forward without a man they loved so dearly.
These precious children will now grow up without their dad’s hugs, guidance, laughter, and love. His family is left trying to pick up the pieces while preparing for a future they never imagined having to face. The road ahead will not be easy, and they need all the support they can get.
Because of the incredible generosity of so many people, we have made great progress toward our goal. Despite every effort made by his medical team, Robert's condition continues to worsen. In a decision no family should ever have to face, his loved ones are forced to make decisions on his behalf far too soon.
