On August 4th, Hurricane Isaias tore through our small state of Delaware leaving much destruction and producing many tornadoes in all three counties.
Holly Van Auken's home was one of the many homes that was hit hard. A tree fell onto her home and completely destroyed her living area as well as her kitchen. Holly's son and mother were home at the time and thankfully were not hurt. Holly's home is unlivable at the moment but fortunately everything that needs to be replaced as well as fixed within the home will be covered by insurance.
What is not covered by insurance is the large trees that need to be removed within her yard. Currently she has multiple trees that are uprooted and need to be cut down. They are dangerous and have the potential to fall onto her home. Insurance will not cover the removal of the trees because they have not yet fallen onto a structure.
Holly is a mother to the sweetest 4 year old little boy, Jameson. She is a nurse and a caring person. Knowing the caring and compassionate people within or community I am positive we can come together and help. Thank you everyone for your love and support ❤️
