My goal is to become a CPT and establish a training practice that focuses on mental and physical rehabilitation. This isn't just about weight loss or muscle gain; it’s about using fitness as a tool for recovery, just as I did. This money will provide the foundation to help others to rediscover their self-worth. I want to pay forward the life-saving gift of health to anyone needing/wanting recovery from abuse.
3 years ago, the world saw a version of me that was an empty shell. For 8 years I was trapped in a cycle of abuse, weighing only 97lbs, my body and spirit brittle. I wasn't just thin; I was disappearing. For a long time, I thought the ashes of my past were all that was left of me. But survival is a quiet, steady roar. My recovery started with a choice: to stop disappearing and start taking up space. It began with the breath—learning to feel safe in my own skin again. It moved into stretching—reclaiming the mobility a spinal injury tried to steal. Then came the iron.
Every pound I gained, from 97lb to 116lb, was a pound of resilience. I wasn't just building muscle; I was building a Spine of Steel. Fitness became my sanctuary, and health became my reclamation. I realized that my "Focus" wasn't just about the gym; it was about the mental clarity required to choose myself every single day.
Today, I stand before you as an Athlete and a Leader, I am the proof that you can rise from the ashes. I am the proof that your worth is non-negotiable.
By focusing on core strength to manage my injury and nutrition to reclaim my health, I transformed from 97 lbs to a stable, healthy 116lbs. Today, I’m not just physically fit; I’m mentally free, and I want to help others find that same liberation.
