Bringing a new life into the world is a beautiful occasion, yet it can also bring unexpected challenges. Our family is facing such a time as we find ourselves needing to start maternity leave earlier than planned due to a very long and unexpected hospital stay. I was told that I will be off work sooner than planned due to preterm labor concerns. This will and is impacting our finances significantly, as my husband is missing out on work as well while staying in the hospital with me, making it difficult to manage our bills and provide the necessities needed for our growing family.
