Help Babes in Christ & Safe Haven Get Back on the Road 🚐❤️
For Babes in Christ Corp. & Safe Haven, our mission has always been simple: equipping youth to share their faith through words and deeds.
We are a nonprofit youth ministry serving children and teens in our community by providing transportation to church, meals, ministry opportunities, mentorship, fellowship, and a safe place to belong — all completely free of charge to the families we serve.
Over the past several months, our ministry has had to operate on a much smaller scale than usual as our ministry leader underwent treatment for breast cancer. During this season, our focus had to shift as she fought one of the hardest battles of her life.
But God has been faithful.
She is now reaching the end of her treatments, and we are preparing for a FULL RESET of Babes in Christ Corp. & Safe Haven. We are ready to get back to serving consistently, picking up our youth, feeding them, bringing them to church, pouring into them, and continuing the mission God placed before us.
But right now, we need the help of our community.
🚐 Our biggest need is transportation.
Our current 15-passenger van was financed at an extremely high interest rate. Despite making payments, the balance has barely moved from what was originally financed.
Between the van payment and insurance alone, the ministry is responsible for at least $1,000 every month
That does not include:
• Gas
• Oil changes and regular maintenance
• Tires
• Unexpected repairs
• Other transportation expenses
And now, the van itself needs repairs.
The rear passenger door is not functioning properly, and the rear air conditioning has stopped working. In the Georgia heat, transporting a van full of children without properly functioning rear A/C simply isn’t something we want to do.
Because our children still need us, we have been using our own personal vehicles to help transport youth when possible.
But this isn’t a sustainable solution.
We need our van back.

We are raising funds to help repair our ministry van, relieve some of the overwhelming transportation expenses, and help Babes in Christ Corp. & Safe Haven begin this next chapter on stronger financial footing.

We have made a commitment that the services of Babes in Christ Corp. & Safe Haven will continue to be offered FREE OF CHARGE to the children and families we serve.
We never want a family’s financial situation to determine whether their child gets to come to church.
We never want transportation to be the reason a child can’t participate.
We never want the cost of a meal to be the reason a child goes without.
And we certainly never want financial hardship to keep a child from receiving the things of Jesus.
That’s why we do what we do.
These aren’t just passengers in a van.
These are children. These are lives. These are future disciples.
As our ministry leader closes the chapter on breast cancer treatments, we believe God is opening the door to a new chapter for this ministry.
We’re ready to get back on the road.
We’re ready to serve.
We’re ready to love on our kids.
We’re ready to continue being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
We just need a little help getting there.
