Please Help Me Save My Best Friend, Skye 🐾💙
I never imagined I'd have to ask for help like this, but today I'm putting my pride aside for the one soul who has never left my side.
This is Skye, my sweet 8-year-old tabby and my best friend.
Skye has battled bladder crystals before, but this time his urinary tract has become completely blocked. He urgently needs surgery to save his life. The devastating part is that the veterinary hospital requires payment before they will perform the surgery, and I simply cannot afford the full cost on my own.
I refuse to give up on him. I refuse to put him down when there is a surgery that could save his life.
If you've ever loved a pet, then you know they are family. Skye isn't "just a cat." He's the one who plays fetch like a dog, sprints through the house with his hilarious zoomies, greets me with the sweetest little meows just to ask for pets, and curls up beside me every night. He has been my comfort, my protector, and my constant companion for eight amazing years.
Watching him now is absolutely heartbreaking.
The playful little boy who used to race down the hallway now lies in the same spot all day because he's in so much pain. He barely has the strength to meow anymore—it's almost a whisper. He's losing his appetite, and every day without surgery puts him at greater risk.
