Hello friends and family! If you want to help Ukrainian refugees directly... I shop everyday for Real time necessities that local shelters need for the refugees where I am volunteering at in Gdansk and Sopot, Poland. While these places get large amounts of clothes and food donations, there are specific items that they run low on that are not those common day items on everyone's shopping list! Don't forget most of these families packed their lives into a small carry-on or bag, so they have very few essential items. Just the other day I went to purchase dozens of panties for older women, sanitary pads and razors. So far I've purchased dozens of comforters, pillows, undergarments, clothes, hygiene products, detergent, food, etc. There are constantly more items they need for the refugees they are housing so if you can help, your $$$ will go a long way here!! I'll show updates on the items that have been purchased!!
The "Centrum Wsparcia Ukrainy w Sopocie" is an amazing center in Sopot dedicated to welcoming incoming Ukrainian refugees, providing housing, meals, clothing, hygiene products, food, home essentials, medicine, toys, playrooms, psychologists, etc. Dozens of volunteers are working around the clock both helping with the refugees, making them feel at home and also those organizing and distributing all the donations coming in.
The Dwór Uphanega in Gdańsk is temporarily hosting hundreds of Ukrainian refugees while finding longer term homes for them. They're also working around the clock providing housing, meals, clothing, and essentials for the Refugees. They are constantly in need of volunteer help and looking for items such as kids and adult slippers (kapcie), deodorants, nail clippers, razors, shampoo and conditioners, comforters, bed sheets, blankets, pillows, etc!
