Hi my name is Jessica, my life changed back in 2009 when I was diagnosed with not only chronic migraines but a facial pain disorder (nicknamed the suicide disease) as well as chronic sinusitis. I was started on numerous drugs and spent years of my life in a total fog I was existing not living. A few more years down the road those drugs were no longer working, so they started me on lidocaine infusions which required at minimum a week stay in the hospital and the treatment only masked the pain. I was still getting migraines and severe facial pain ( which can be triggered by taking a shower, brushing my teeth, eating, putting on makeup, a sinus infection, allergies or just a simple breezy or nothing). I lived a life of fear, fear to make plans, fear of letting people down fear, that the next attack I wouldn't be able to get under control. Then it all started health insurance and hospital nolonger wanted to just mask the pain so they stopped covering treatments so I was back to square one. Plus my doctor moved to Arkansas which I know have to travel to in order to see. He has done his very best to research the most cutting edge therapy for my conditions and finally found something that is working unfortunately Insurance will not cover it, but it has allowed me to return to the living but paying out of pocket every month for treatment gets very expensive and we are trying to get it covered under insurance but that could take years. Since I've started this treatment, I nolonger need my botox every 90 days, I'm off all nerve pain medications and I can enjoy life but unfortunately the expenses are wearing me down and I hate asking for help but right now I truly need it. Thank you for reading my story.
