Carried by Kindness: Supporting A Family's Journey After the Hawk Fire
With hearts full of gratitude, I am sharing this fundraiser on behalf of my daughters, Teylor and Emma, and my two young grandbabies after the Hawk Fire in Reno, Nevada left them displaced from their home, which is currently uninhabitable due to extensive smoke and water damage. While they’ve lost the comfort, stability, and sense of security home provides, we are profoundly grateful they are safe. Although the road ahead may be long, they are taking each day one step at a time, grateful for the love, prayers, and support they have already received. In fact, this fundraiser exists only because so many friends and kind-hearted people have reached out asking how they can help, encouraging me to create a way for them to contribute. We are deeply humbled by the kindness that has already been shown to us.
The funds raised will help provide temporary housing and assist with essential expenses, including transportation, meals, groceries, clothing, and other day-to-day necessities while they work toward returning home. While the financial support is invaluable, the love, prayers, encouragement, and kindness we have received have been just as meaningful.
