When you have kids, one thing you quickly realize is that they never slow down and they never stop growing. This is both magical and tragic, because sometimes you just want to freeze time and let some memories last forever. As a single parent, it can feel like time goes even faster. You are the only one tying shoes, getting groceries, reading bedtime stories and wiping away tears. These parents will always do what is needed, because their love for their kids knows no limits.
However, if you look at single parent's social media pages, or look at the pictures in their phones, one very real limit does exist. So many times these parents have amazing and beautiful pictures of their kids, but they themselves are missing. It can be incredibly difficult for single parents to have moments with their kids frozen in time forever.
This is where Portraits With a Purpose comes in. With your support, I want to provide single parents with the opportunity to have professional family portraits done. These families will be provided one hour photo shoots free of charge by local photographer Sarah Lyle.
With your donations, we will be supporting Sarah's local photography business as well as providing lifelong memories to families at no charge to them. The goal is to raise $1,300 in order to give away one shoot this month and every month of 2021. But as this grows, I believe we will be able to expand this much further than one family per month.
