3 1/2 years ago Karma came into my life. A friend of a friend needed some help and I offered to foster her for him. From the moment I brought her home she was glued to me. She followed me everywhere. She  literally slept underneath my head. She got along perfectly with my cats and adjusted immediately. Several months her previous family was ready to take her back and I simply couldn't part with her. So I begged to pay $1000 so that I could keep her. Prior to this time something very traumatic had happened in my life that changed my life completely. I was lost. And Karma showed me the way to navigate my way through it. She saved me!!!! Even more than I saved her . Pretty quickly,,  I discovered that she had some medical issues and she wound up with 3 pretty big scares in the hospital within the first 10 months i had her. The biggest being when she got pancreatitis. We almost lost her then. She spent  4 days and nights in the ICU  at the vet. Two of those nights they had to even put her in an incubator. Everyday I would visit her not knowing if she would ever come home again. She wound up pulling through!!!! And eventually she was back to normal. But that's when we discovered that she had liver  problems. She was immediately put on a diet specifically to cater to her liver and on liver support medication. Thankfully we got pretty good at managing the problem. Of course that was many ultrasounds,  and blood tests and exams later. She's been doing really great for a long time. But last Monday she had to have surgery, which she appeared to recover very well from and then suddenly last night she became very ill. She is currently admitted at the vet.  We're still yet to know exactly what's going on. Hoping desperately that the liver disease has not progressed to cirrhosis. If  so... then that will be the beginning of the end.  But if it hasn't... then there's still quality-of-life to be had. And unfortunately it's not cheap. I'm not asking for everything to be covered. I just need SOME help.  Not even for me,  but for her.  She has so much life left in  her. She is the sweetest little dog you ever could meet. And so full of love. I am usually the one people turn to for help when it comes to saving , helping, feeding, rehoming, "Rescuing" animals in need. So this is very different for me now that the shoes on the other foot. And very humbling. I know times are really tough right now for everybody. But if there's anything anyone can do to help,,  I greatly appreciate it. It doesn't  matter how small. And if you can't monetarily do anything. Then please just share this.

I won't let her suffer. But I also won't let her go just because I don't have the money.

She never gives up on me.

And I can't give up on her.

THANK YOU

She is still throwing up. Took x-rays. No blockages. Internal organs are very inflamed. Administered Barium. She is on IV fluids thru the night. Vet will continue to check on her thru the night. We will know more in the morning. Still trying to figure out whats causing the vomiting. It's going to be another long night....I miss her so much...Thank you everyone for all your support. I love you all. β€πŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™
