A note from Ernie & Carolina’s Daughters.
Hi family and friends,
As many of you know, our Dad, Ernie Tamayo, went to a minster’s conference assembly & family vacation in Florida when he unexpectedly had to undergo emergency heart surgery. On Monday, July 13th, he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance due to fluid overload, which led to a cardiac arrest in the emergency room. By the Grace of God, he was resuscitated, and the incredible medical staff managed to stabilize him. However, the doctors discovered a heart condition that we were unaware of. Unfortunately, due to the significant blockages prevented the doctors from performing the stent procedure. In that critical moment, we were informed that he would need a quadruple bypass surgery and would not be able to return home unless it was performed. Once again, God intervened, and the quadruple bypass surgery was successfully converted into a double bypass surgery.
Dad looks remarkably good and stronger than ever before. However, the road to recovery is now beginning. It will undoubtedly be painful and challenging. Open-heart surgery and subsequent recovery are already demanding on the body, but our Dad’s kidney condition on dialysis adds to the difficulty. Mom and Dad will need to remain in Florida until he completes rehabilitation and receives clearance from the doctors to fly home.
Currently, Mom and Dad are far from home in Kissimmee, Florida, across the country. In this unfamiliar city, they are managing medical care, lodging, and daily living expenses. Back home, we’re taking care of their regular expenses. To ease the financial burden while Dad recovers and the Tamayo girls stay by his side, we’ve created this family support fund.
Where the money goes:
Direct medical expenses & co-pays
Temporary lodging near the hospital
Travel, meals, and emergency daily expenses
With heartfelt thanks and gratitude!🙏🏽
