When it rains, it pours, y'all. This year, our household has dealt with a disheartening series of crisis after crisis. First, our housemates' car transmission went out a couple months back, then I (Mary Ann) lost my job unexpectedly, and after a couple expensive health scares with trips to the hospital and various medical tests, our own little car's transmission went out last week. This last crisis is perhaps the most difficult of all to deal with, in light of the financial crunch the rest have put on us. The cost to attempt repairs on our little Suzuki would be a lot, and our mechanic informed us that the first round of pricey repairs wouldn't even guarantee the car would run. We don't have the money or resources to gamble on that, so we'll have to sell the car for parts.
Sarah just started a new job, but she can't really get to work without a reliable vehicle, and I just started driving for rideshares and meal delivery in our community, so a working car is really necessary for us to make ends meet and make an income. We'd be so grateful for anything that you could give to help us meet this goal that will help us pay for a new-to-us used car that can help us get from point A to point B and keep working. Whether you can give $5, $25, $50, $100, or $500, we're so so thankful for your generosity during our time of need. Thank you, one and all!
