Metra is a home for the spiritually homeless in Chiang Mai, Thailand — a space for connection, community, creation, and space to just be.
In its first week, more than 20 people came together for an anti-racist film discussion and a heretics Bible study. Since then, many others have found their way in — seeking company, conversation, and belonging. People who started as strangers have become friends.
At Metra, you don’t have to do or believe anything to belong. It’s a place to find meaning, be safe, and become your truest self — in the company of others doing the same.
This week marks 25 years since I moved to Thailand, and it’s also my birthday week. To celebrate, I’m inviting people who believe in Metra to help keep it going.
Rent is $500/month, with total operating costs around $1,000/month. I’m raising $2,500 — enough to cover this month, build a small cushion for next, and give us room to grow a community of monthly supporters.
