Jewel's Teahouse is not just a name it's a legacy. It is founded on 3 generations of the Jewel name. From 2 of my great grandmother's to my mother and now my daughter. We will be a family owned and operated cafe featuring light lunch options, birthday parties, event space, catering and special events as well as beautiful antiques. Our Matriarh was a collector of all and our space will feel like you just walked into grandmas house with a bit of a modern take.
2021 was without a doubt one of the hardest years of all our lives. We said goodbye to amazing family members and with that began a new chapter for us all. Our Matriarh and Patriarch truly embodied those titles and its because of them that we wanted to open Jewel's Teahouse, Café and Antiques.
We plan to offer an array of soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, coffees and teas. Using recipes going back to my grandmother we want to give a bit of her to each of you. Her memory will not only live on in us but through the cafe as a physical embodiment all that she was.
In May of 2022 we had the opportunity to begin this journey. This building spoke to us in so many ways that let us know that the lord and Grandma wanted us here. However, since then we have been met with hurdle after hurdle, delay after delay. Because of this our build out took far more time than anticipated. Even though many of the challenges we faced we're completely out of our hands, we have continued to push for what we know we are meant to do. But now we are being faced with a potentially devastating situation.
Because of the amount of time these delays have taken, we are now desperately low on funds. In order to get our selves over the finish line and open we need our communities help. We have had so many of you ask what you can do to help get us get going and honestly this is it.
Some of you know me personally and know that I am a "I'll do it my self" person and I have spent the last 18 months doing everything I can to make this happen. It pains me to be in this position because of everything that has gone into this project and what it means to my family. Giving up is not an option, so we are taking this step in hopes that our family, friends and community can see the vision that we have.
Our hope is to serve our community for many years to come and we look forward to meeting each of you to thank you in person. Each donor will be sent a special personalized thank you from all of us at Jewel's. Thank you for all your love and support.
