Hi Friends and Family,

As some of you know I've been struggling with Lymphoma MALT Non Hodgkins cancer since early 2024. I have been through both chemotherapy and radiation which both were unsuccessful.

My cancer is complicated to fight due to I’ve experienced two heart attacks within 30 days in 2021. Also, having thrombocytopenia and Thalassemia which are blood conditions. Physicians must be very careful about what treatments I endure.

As of February 2025 we confirmed that my cancer has spread to my chest wall, pelvis, other parts of my lung and possibly changed into a different type of lymphoma cancer (there are 80 types) resulting in an emergency scheduled biopsy on my lung as this is the easiest spot to confirm. Once this is completed and confirmed a more aggressive chemotherapy will begin for a longer duration.

Over the past month I've decided to try some holistic herbs that assist with curing my cancer.  The main one is called Rick Simpson hemp and has had a great percentage of success to cure cancer.

Going holistic while in treatment is not only expensive but between living expenses, medical expenses, travel and holistic expenses this is becoming a financial barrier for my family and I.

I am being forced to take leave from my position as Director in Substance Abuse which I truly enjoy and love.

I appreciate you all for coming together during this time to help me and words can't express my gratitude and love for you all.

October 13, 2025, update

Hi friends and family! This is Za'Nyiah and I am typing this for my mom since she was just released from the hospital on Friday October 10, 2025, and has injuries. She is wanting to update everyone and ask for prayers and help funding her trip to MD Anderson Cancer center in Houston, TX next week.

August 22, 2025, my mom lost her job as Director for an Opioid Response Clinic that she was dedicated for the cause. Because of this she lost her health insurance w/ UMR. Through the grace of God, family and friends she was able to pay for COBRA Insurance which we all know is expense running no less than $950/monthly. She has been able to hold onto and pay for COBRA since, but this remains a stress for our entire family as she does not qualify for state assistance.

My mom's last chemotherapy treatment was September 6, 2025. She struggled the first week and then had to go into the treatment center the following week for fluids as she was severely dehydrated.

On October 2, 2025, my mom woke up with pain in her port, swollen right arm, neck pain and jaw pain. She could barely speak or open her mouth. Her entire arm was discolored (black and blue) and she could not move. All she could do was moan. She did not want to go to the ER at that time. My dad contacted her Oncologist who reached out to the Radiologist that placed her port. She was asked to come into the office immediately. 0

She was taken into the office and had to have an emergency port removal due to port complications. This is her second port within 6 months. We later found out that the port that they continued to place has complications nationwide and has recalls. She was in surgery for almost 2 hours. This procedure is normally 15-30 mins. She was given an ultrasound to rule out blood clots and thrombosis.

My mom came out in severe pain. They had to prescript her pain medication and advised that she would heal in a week. The following day she was asked to be seen in her Oncology office to observe and make sure her swelling was going down. They wanted to admit her but felt she could get through the weekend.

Monday October 6, 2025, my mom woke up and couldn't move again. My dad rushed her to the ER as they though she may have a blood clot in her lungs. She was admitted and stayed in the hospital for 5 days on morphine. She has a condition called non-thrombotic superficial phlebitis. They are not sure if this is permanent and she is on morphine every 4 hours and Gabapentin. She is still in pain and just lays here talking every once in a while.

During her stay in the hospital, she was contacted by MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX to consider a STEM Cell Transplant which could cure my mother's cancer. Due to her condition they want to see her early next during the week of October 20-24. This is an opportunity of a lifetime especially with her insurance situation.

With everything going on we are asking if you can help monetarily. Anything will help her get there and get the help that she deserves. Please help save my mommy!

Thank you and God Bless!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to personally thank everyone for the donations that I have received. Due to severe neuropathy, it is hard to text or type on the computer. I find myself using voice text and the auto correct lately and it's horrible.

Not too many people have heard much since February 2025. As of March 6, 2025 I was hospitalized due to having chronic chest pain. I underwent a procedure that confirmed that I had more blockage in a smaller artery. They were unable to place a stent so instead they ballooned this artery causing more damage to the artery and more pain for me.

During this hospital stay they needed to complete another lung biopsy CT guided to see how severe the cancer was. The first biopsy was inconclusive, but the PET scan lit up. I coughed up blood for days. They then wanted to do another biopsy on the chest to see if that noddle was positive. This was completed.

After 3 weeks of waiting for results it was confirmed that it was cancer but more aggressive. I worked with my team of oncologists to find the best treatment plan for my situation. My port was placed April 16th. April 25th, I started my first round of chemo called R-CVP. I had a horrible interaction which caused my team to have to slow chemo by 2 extra hours.

On May 23rd I woke up and asked to be taken to the hospital due to having a dream and a deep-rooted feeling that something was not right. I was sent home after testing and labs. The next morning at 7 am the ER physician called and requested that I return to the hospital due to an infection in my blood. My port was infected. At this time the port was removed during my 5-day hospital stay and a PICC Line was placed.

I eventually got the Infectious Disease MD to discharge me and send me home with IV antibiotics that my husband and I had to learn to administer. As of today 6/10/25, I am home and still on antibiotics. I did have a drug interaction while home. Now my body has the tremors, and we are not sure if it is temporary or permanent.

My chemotherapy was postponed due to not being able to be on both medications at the same time. My chemo is scheduled to resume on June 20th, and they are wanting to pull the PICC Line and place another port with the odds of the new port having a 50/50 chance of getting infected.

Due to my situation, I have not been able to return to work from my leave. My family and I are asking for assistance to assist us during this time. Anything helps and we thank you in advance for your help.
