On August 26th, our sweet 7-year-old Serenity was in a devastating car accident that left her with life-threatening injuries. She suffered a brain bleed, bleeding spleen, bleeding down her spinal cord, a broken sternum, a damaged kidney, and several broken ribs. She was rushed into emergency care and placed in the ICU, where she has been fighting with incredible strength and courage ever since.

Through God’s grace, Serenity is still with us. She has already amazed doctors with her progress — even walking a few steps and smiling at cartoons again — but her road to recovery is long and filled with challenges.

As her aunt and grandmother, we are stepping in to give Serenity the stable, loving environment she needs to heal and rebuild her life. Grandma has been by Serenity’s side since the moment of the accident, never leaving her in the hospital. But with travel, meals, missed work, and unexpected needs, the expenses are piling up quickly.

We want nothing more than to give Serenity a fresh start — safe, supported, and surrounded by love. But we cannot do it alone. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on helping Serenity heal.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and for wrapping Serenity in the love she so deeply deserves. πŸ’•

✨ 4th UPDATE 4th✨

Today’s a big day! The doctors are working on discharge paperwork for Serenity, and she may be heading out of the hospital. 🩷 She’ll need to continue wearing her neck brace for the next 6–8 weeks, and after-care will include physical and mental recovery therapies, chiropractic, and follow-up doctor visits.

The best news? πŸ™Œ Once she’s back in Dickinson and settled in, she’ll be able to start school again and get back to some normal routines with her friends. Her health will be closely monitored by her doctor here to keep everything on track.

This is exactly what we’ve been praying for—she’s alive, healing, and progressing just as we hoped. We couldn’t be more grateful for the love, support, and endless prayers. πŸ’• God is so good, and every single step forward is a blessing.

✨3rd Update on Siri 3rd✨

Recently, doctors noticed some changes with Siri’s eyes. Her pupils weren’t reacting the way they should, which was very concerning and led the team to order an MRI to check for any new complications. Waiting for those results has been incredibly nerve-wracking for all of us.

Today we are so grateful to share that her MRI came back with no new findings! πŸ™Œβœ¨ This is an answered prayer and such a relief for her care team and our family. Nothing new has developed, and now the focus can stay on her recovery.

Next, we’ll be meeting with the neurosurgeon to learn what discharge will look like and what follow-ups she’ll need in the weeks ahead. She still has a journey in front of her, but today feels like a step forward filled with hope πŸ’–.

Thank you all for continuing to surround Siri with prayers, love, and support. Every donation and every share helps carry our family through this season, and we’re endlessly grateful. πŸ’•πŸ™

Second UpdateπŸ’•

Tomorrow, September 3rd, will be another big day for our brave girl. Serenity is scheduled for an MRI, which will mean she has to go under anesthesia and be intubated. For such a little body to go through so much—it breaks our hearts, but she’s a fighter and continues to amaze us with her strength. πŸ’”βœ¨

We are asking for continued prayers as she faces this next step. Every prayer, every thought, and every share means the world to us. πŸ™

For those who have supported through this fundraiser—whether by donating, sharing, or simply lifting our family up in love—thank you. You are helping us stay strong while Serenity fights her hardest battle. ❀️

September 1st Update on Serenity πŸ’œ

The last few days have brought some encouraging moments. With help, Serenity has been trying to get up and take a step or two so she can make it to the restroom—she wants so badly to be up and out of that bed. Today, she was even able to eat some solid food, including a little bit of her favorite mac and cheese, which felt like such a big win. πŸ₯Ήβœ¨

But alongside these steps forward, we’ve received more concerning news. Her eyes have crossed, and the doctors discovered that one pupil is dilated to a 9 while the other is only at a 3. They are very concerned and are looking closely into what this could mean for her healing.

Please continue to keep Serenity in your prayers as she continues her journey at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Your love, support, and generosity mean the world to our family. She is surrounded by so much care, and we are holding onto hope for more progress and for the day she can finally come home to Dickinson. πŸ’•πŸ™
