Operation Sleigh The Mortgage 🎄
Hi, my name is Kass. I’m a 27-year-old stay-at-home mom, and right now I’m doing everything I can to change the future for my family.
This Christmas, I’m working toward something that feels impossible… but worth trying. My goal is to pay off at least half of our mortgage as a surprise for my husband, Matt. He doesn’t have the app so he has no idea I’m planning this.
Right now, our mortgage takes up one and a half of his paychecks and he only gets paid every two weeks. We’re constantly trying to stretch what’s left, living paycheck to paycheck, and it’s exhausting.
If I can make a dent in our mortgage, especially cutting it in half it could completely change our lives.
It would mean:
• The chance to refinance our home and lower our monthly payments
• Breathing room financially instead of constant stress
• Matt being able to work fewer hours and spend more time with our family
• The ability to start saving for land and build our forever home something we’ve always dreamed of
• Being able to be present with our kids, especially before Carter starts school
Without this, the reality is I may have to take on a full-time third shift job just to help us stay afloat. That would mean being away from my kids all night, never fully present during the day, and hardly seeing my husband. It’s not the life we want but it’s the direction we’re heading if nothing changes.
Even if we don’t reach the full goal, every single dollar will go directly toward our mortgage. Any amount we can put toward it brings us closer to refinancing and lowering that monthly burden.
I’ve been sharing our journey online, trying to turn small moments into something meaningful not just for us, but for others too. This is me asking for help in a very real, vulnerable way.
