Hi Fam and friends!
It is that time again to help with supporting an abroad initiative coming up! We are going to the Dominican Republic this coming April to visit my old friends at Fundación de Tesoro (The Treasure Foundation) located in Paraiso, Barahona just near the boarder of DR and Haiti.
As many of you know, I spent years in medical school working in the DR and helped found this organization. It consists of local children and women that get together for educational opportunities which include after school activities, workshops by local and foreign groups, and english teaching. This is an impoverished area of the country that has many needs especially when it comes to the local children.
I plan to put on workshops with a group of 50-75 children that are a part of the group and hope to bring school supplies, clothes, shoes, and other needs that community reports to me.
I will do this by asking for donations from my friends and family (YOU!).
