Thank you all for your support. This week, Andres will have an appeal to be released from ICE custody. Please help us with prayers so we can reunite. If this isn't possible, we will all travel and reunite in our country, Colombia, for the safety of our children.
On Friday, June 6 a dear member in our Roxbury community, was suddenly taken by ICE. Andres, a father to 5, husband, and active member of our community, was taken to a facility in Plymouth, MA. Right now, this is all we know about his situation.
Andres is a gentle, warm soul, a longtime resident of our Roxbury community, devoted to his family. A man of deep faith, Andres prioritizes being a present, caring husband and father, working steadfastly as the primary breadwinner to provide for his family and to create a stable, loving home for his children. His deep love of his wife and children are evident in everything he says and does. Their family values education, and Andres and his wife also have worked diligently to raise children with good character—to be kind, respectful, honest and caring. They build community across the many faiths and cultures in our neighborhood, often providing food at community and school events, with their oldest children often offering community service.
Without Andres' income, the family is facing immense financial hardship. In addition, the expenses of legal representation is very high. Carmen faces the immense responsibility of providing for her family and paying legal fees, while navigating this devastating situation.
Andres’ family is his world. He is a pillar of strength and love for his children, who are now understandably scared and confused. They miss their dad terribly. We are doing everything we can to help this family in their efforts to reunite.

Sin los ingresos de Andrés, la familia enfrenta enormes dificultades económicas. Además, los gastos de representación legal son muy altos. Carmen enfrenta la inmensa responsabilidad de mantener a su familia y pagar los gastos legales, mientras navega por esta situación devastadora.
