CURRENTLY MY STATUS -
As of the current time of Sunday June 7th, I have had my 3rd ER visit. I had to call the paramedics on my first night home. It was a panic attack, scared that I was about to have a seizure. I have since learned I have them every evening when the sun starts to go down because that's when I started getting sick on the onset of withdrawals causing the seizures. I have also learned with epilepsy, depression, sometimes severe, even to the point of suicide is more common than you'd think.I had developed pneumonia from aspirating on my blood. I also have internal bleeding from the very misleading 7-PURE package advertised as a supplement. I am still working on regaining my motor skills and memory. By doctor's orders I cannot drive nor work for a minimum of 6 months as I must be seizure free that long. I have 3 specialists, lost an income of 52k plus my hubby's income of 72K (since he is with me 24/7) and have no insurance. I have medical bills building and they will continue.Kr8tom will be illegal July 1st and there will be so many like me, who have no clue what's coming when the detoxing hits. This is such a new medical issue that my ICU Neurology doctor is using my case for a teaching example. This is because it helped them learn just how severe and life threatening this is and how to be aggressive in the treatment. It taught them a lot of what to look for and how to combat it. Every medical person that read my chart during my 6 day hospital stint said I shouldn't be here. I'm here to tell my story, to help in any way I can. I'm willing to let other doctors and hospitals and medical teams have my records, interview me and learn from this in any way. I want to assist and help others pull through like me! I wouldn't wish this on any one and a lot will sadly die without help, knowledge and proper treatment. We have little time to get this knowledge out. I am willing to speak or help medical teams anywhere in TN. I have put some of my story on my Facebook page and since I have had several people reach out to me wanting to know how to get off it. I have found that TN has a free rehab program for coming off Kratom also.There is free rehab and detox in all of TN if you ask at any ER. And don't do it alone and don't cold turkey it! 6 days in the hospital with several specialists and all would look at my record and would say there's no way I should be alive!
MY CURRENT (7-15-26) STATUS -
I continued to have seizures every 2 to 3 days in the first 5 weeks. I started having seizures again on the night of the 13th of July. My chest was hurting really bad and it scared my hubby and me. So I asked him to take me to a hospital in the big city close to us, Knoxville, TN. When I got here I was in a seizure and they took me straight to triage. They decided to do an EKG and it was very suspicious of a heart attack. They told me to not worry but I was about to become "very popular". I went to a crash room where they were correct. I had about 6 nurses and 2 doctors all over me and the room, moving with a quick purpose about them. The 2nd EKG looked normal so they kept me until morning to take me to the cath lab. There, they found my heart had 99% blockage in the right side of my heart. My heart also had a blood clot within. They got a stent in and said we intervened and stopped a massive heart attack in the making!
I can no longer work for the next 6 months due to my seizures. My hubby lost his job due to having to take care of me with all my medical issues. By NO MEANS are either of us slackers! I lost my career I've worked so hard for 2 decades to build! I loved feeling needed and that I made a positive impact! My hubby had been at his job for 10yrs and had won awards there for his outstanding dedication and hard work! We have lost everything from our careers, our identity and even our vehicle. We have so many bills with visits to the ER, hospital, family doctors, therapist and other specialist. They continue to build and build. We need help, any assistance possible and available. Please think on my story and pray over us. Please give whatever you feel moved to give.
