Dear Aztec Family,
The past two seasons on The MESA have been incredible. Our staff and players are truly aware and appreciative of the passion of Aztec nation. I can confidently say that there is no better place to coach and to play than here at San Diego State. We are all proud to be a part of this community and proud to be Aztecs!
With this past season behind us, I want to not only share our program’s appreciation for what you do for us, but also share how we can continue to ensure that we maintain our position at the top of college basketball. We pride ourselves on recruiting high character student-athletes who excel both on and off the court. Those of you that have had a chance to get to know our players, particularly over the past two seasons through our relationship with MESA Foundation, know what a special group we have.
NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) is a critical part of the success of our program. We are incredibly grateful to all of you that have decided to join MESA Foundation and support our NIL efforts. We are amazed by the growth and success of MESA in just two seasons. The truth is, we have more work to do to grow the support for MESA. MESA stands for everything that this program stands for. Team. Family. Community. It has been an incredible addition to our life skills program, developing responsible, community-minded individuals through their partnerships with organizations like The San Diego Blood Bank, USMC Camp Pendleton Youth Program, Intertribal Sport, San Diego Food Bank, and others.
We are in perhaps the most critical part of our upcoming season as we work to build our roster for 2024-2025. I am asking all Aztec supporters to make the decision to join MESA and to be a part of OUR efforts to ensure this program continues on its path as a perennial competitor for not only conference championships, but for deep runs into March! Becoming a part of MESA provides opportunities to make a positive difference in our athletes’ personal lives now and into the future. We thank you again for your support and to all of you for stepping up to stand with us in this new and highly competitive environment.

The mission of MESA is to raise awareness for charitable causes in San Diego—by partnering local charities with Aztec student-athletes who choose to use their social media platforms and influence to bring awareness to organizations, helping the San Diego community thrive while deepening the connection between San Diego and Aztec student-athletes.
